GENERAL USE

Shake: Shake well for several seconds to mix the oils and water
Aim: Bring the bottle right up to your chin and point the nozzle in your mouth
Spray: Spray into mouth as many times as desired. We recommend 2 sprays 4 times per day to once per hour, but you may use up to 4 sprays at a time.

Bronchia Guard lasts a long time. While most don't use it daily, if you did, one bottle would last:

2 sprays, 4 times a day: Approx. 2 months
2 sprays, once per hour: Approx. 2 weeks

FOR COUGH

Method #1—Inhale the Mist: Shake and aim. Spray your mouth and inhale simultaneously to get the mist into your lungs.
Method #2—Spray then Breathe: If method #1 is too irritating, shake, aim, and spray your throat, then breathe deeply through your mouth to inhale the vapors.

FOR SORE THROAT

Method #3—Spray then Swallow: Shake, aim, and spray the sore, irritated area directly and then swallow.

FOR NASAL CONGESTION

Method #4—In the Mouth, Out the Nose: Shake, aim, and spray the back of your throat. Before swallowing, inhale through your mouth, and exhale through your nose.
Method #5—Breathe the Vapors: Shake, aim, and spray on a tissue. Hold it to your nose and inhale the vapors.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Immediately after use, you will likely experience a temporary burning sensation (from the spicy oils) and/or a very brief cough. This is normal and will quickly subside. The spray-induced cough helps clear phlegm in your lungs, and shouldn't persist or make existing coughing worse.

I have a lung disease. Can I use this product?

We have several customers with asthma and COPD who love Bronchia Guard and report that it helps them with their coughs. See our review section for those experiences. However, Bronchia Guard is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease and we recommend you use it under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional if you have any lung disease.

Is Bronchia Guard safe for pregnant or nursing women?

To be on the safe side, we don't recommend Bronchia Guard for pregnant or nursing women without consulting a qualified healthcare provider. Although the amounts of essential oils are very, very small, Bronchia Guard contains peppermint and eucalyptus which are toxic to very young children (see question below), and may decrease milk production in some women.

Can I give this to my toddler?

No. Peppermint and eucalyptus have both been linked to seizures in children under 3. In addition, this is a powerful and concentrated product and young children likely won’t tolerate the flavor. For these reasons we recommend against giving Bronchia Guard to anyone younger than 6.

How long will one bottle last?

If you used one bottle continuously every day (though most only use Bronchia Guard for 3–4 days at a time), one bottle would last:

Approximately 2 months, if using 2 sprays 4 times per day
Approximately 2 weeks, if using 2 sprays once per waking hour

How spicy is this?

Oregano, cinnamon, and clove are spicy oils. The oils are diluted in our formula and the addition of peppermint oil helps to cool the burn, but Bronchia Guard still packs some punch (that’s how you know it’s working to kill the bad bugs). The first spray can be a bit of a shock, but most people tolerate Bronchia Guard well and many even love the flavor.

Will Bronchia Guard react with any of my medications?

According to WebMD, there are no known major drug interactions for the ingredients in Bronchia Guard, but there may be some mild interactions with certain medications. Clove essential oils may mildly interact with diabetes, blood clotting, and pain relief medications by reducing blood sugar, blood clotting, and inflammation. Please check WebMD for more information and consult with a qualified healthcare professional.

THE STORY BEHIND IT ALL.

While working in an office one year, flu season came around and I got really sick with a bad flu. I started using oregano oil to help, but thought using a spray bottle, rather than a dropper, would be better. I was inspired by another product on the market that had immune supporing essential oils, but it also had an alcohol base. I realized that I could improve upon that formula by removing the alcohol, which is toxic and can irritate the respiratory system. So I decided to put the oil in a spray bottle with glycerine and water and just shake it up. Being able to spray this oil into my lungs drastically helped me to overcome my flu. Over time I changed the formula and improved the design with research to find the best oils to use, and that is how Bronchia Guard was formed!
